Vintra’s Notice of Certification Under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework
Effective as of July 16, 2018
Vintra, Inc. (“Vintra,” “we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Company”), has certified to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles of both Frameworks, and any reference to “Privacy Shield Principles” shall include such Principles under both the EU and Swiss Frameworks. Scope: Vintra, Inc. adheres to the principles of the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework with respect to personal data submitted by Vintra’s customers in reliance on the Privacy Shield for Vintra’s Web sites and the related applications, services, and programs offered by Vintra.
Data processed: When expressing an interest in obtaining additional information about the Services, or registering to use the Web sites or other Services, or registering for an event, Vintra requires you to provide the Company with personal contact information, such as name, company name, address, phone number, and email address (“Required Contact Information”). When purchasing the Services or registering for an event, Vintra may also require you to provide the Company with financial qualification and billing information, such as billing name and address, credit card number, and the number of employees within the organization that will be using the Services (“Billing Information”). Vintra may also ask you to provide additional information, such as company annual revenues, number of employees, or industry (“Optional Information”). When Visitors apply for a job with the Company, Vintra may also require you to submit additional personal information as well as a resume or curriculum vitae (“Applicant Information”). Required Contact Information, Billing Information, Applicant Information, Optional Information and any other information you submit to Vintra to or through the Services are referred to collectively as “Data.”
As you navigate the Company’s Web sites, Vintra may also collect information through the use of commonly-used information-gathering tools, such as cookies and Web beacons (“Web Site Navigational Information”). Web Site Navigational Information includes standard information from your Web browser (such as browser type and browser language), your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, and the actions you take on the Company’s Web sites (such as the Web pages viewed and the links clicked).
Purposes of data processing: The Company uses Data about Vintra Customers to perform the services requested. For example, if you fill out a “Contact Me” Web form, the Company will use the information provided to contact you about your interest in the Services.
The Company also uses Data about Vintra Attendees to plan and host corporate events, host online forums and social networks in which event Attendees may participate, and to populate online profiles for Attendees on the Company’s Web sites. Additional information on the Company’s privacy practices with respect to Data about Vintra Attendees may be found in additional privacy statements on the event Web sites, as the case may be.
The Company may also use Data about Vintra Customers and Attendees for marketing purposes. For example, the Company may use information you provide to contact you to further discuss your interest in the Services and to send you information regarding the Company, its affiliates, and its partners, such as information about promotions or events.
Vintra may also receive information about Customers and Attendees from other sources, including third parties from whom we have purchased data, and combine this information with Data we already have about you. This helps us to update, expand and analyze our records, identify new customers, and create more tailored advertising to provide products and services that may be of interest to you.
Vintra uses credit card information solely to check the financial qualifications and collect payment from prospective Customers and Attendees.
Vintra uses Web Site Navigational Information to operate and improve the Company’s Web sites. The Company may also use Web Site Navigational Information alone or in combination with Data about Vintra Customers and Data about Vintra Attendees to provide personalized information about the Company.
Vintra partners with third parties to display advertising on our Web sites and Services or to manage our advertising on other sites. Our third-party partners may use cookies or similar technologies provide you advertising based upon your browsing activities and interests. If you wish to opt out of interest-based advertising click here, or if located in the European Union click here. Please note you will continue to receive generic ads.
Your rights to access, to limit use, and to limit disclosure: EU individuals and Swiss individuals have rights to access personal data about them, and to limit use and disclosure of their personal data. With our Privacy Shield self-certification, Vintra has committed to respect those rights.

Vintra will respond within 45 days. If we fail to respond within that time or if our response does not address your concern, you may contact JAMS, which provides an independent third-party dispute resolution body based in the United States by visiting this site: https://www.jamsadr.com/eu-us-privacy-shield. JAMS has committed to respond to complaints to provide recourse at no cost to you. If neither Vintra nor JAMS resolves your complaint, you may have the possibility to engage in binding arbitration through the Privacy Shield Panel.
Under certain conditions, more fully described on the Privacy Shield website at www.privacyshield.gov, you may invoke binding arbitration when other dispute resolution procedures have been exhausted.
U.S. Federal Trade Commission enforcement: Vintra’s commitments under the Privacy Shield are subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the United States Federal Trade Commission.
Third Parties who may receive personal data (Onward Transfer): Vintra may engage a limited number of third-party service providers to assist us in providing our services to customers. These third party providers may offer customer support, data storage services (data centers), or technical operations. These third parties may access, process, or store personal data in the course of providing their services.
Vintra maintains contracts with these third parties restricting their access, use and disclosure of personal data in compliance with our Privacy Shield obligations. Vintra may be liable if the third parties fail to meet their obligations.
Compelled disclosure: Vintra may be required to disclose personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.
