Vintra is a venture-capital backed emerging leader in the video analytics space. The company has a mission to transform any real-world video into actionable and tailored intelligence so customers can build the safest and most productive organizations in the world. As cameras increasingly take center stage in how organizations protect their people and things and make their physical spaces enjoyable and productive, the volumes of data these cameras produce is overwhelming.  Vintra’s proprietary, machine learning-powered software works on any type of camera feed (CCTV, drone, dash cam, body cam, etc), can be deployed in the cloud or on-premises and helps customers “know what the cameras know” for security, worker safety, compliance, and operations.

We’re looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic, and passionate individual to join our Technical Services team as a Technical Support Engineer. As a critical part of an emerging company, you should be ready to be on the frontline of delivering world-class customer support to our growing roster of enterprise customers. You will be measured on KPIs such as ticket response time, resolution time, and net promoter score. After joining the organization, you will be responsible to promote , support, and grow in an organization in a way that will ensure customers feel the love for our company and solutions.

 

What we need you to do as a Technical Support Engineer

  • Provide TOP level customer support
  • Optimize processes – bring best-in-class expertise in originating, planning, and executing on customer support initiatives
  • Win customer advocates – using your superior relationship management skills, you will develop a culture and team that serves customers so well that they actively advocate out in the market for Vintra
  • Provides feedback to the company’s management regarding service failures and customer concerns.
  • Be the “bridge” between Development teams and Customer related issues
  • Act as the voice of the customer by collecting popular feature requests and creating business reasons to prioritize requests on the product roadmap

 

What you’ll bring to Vintra

  • A track record of Customer Support achievements, and in providing world class installation and support
  • An obsession with making and keeping customers happy
  • Bachelor’s Degree – technology or business degrees preferred
  • Relevant experience in video analytics, IP video applications required and physical security preferred
  • Relevant experience selecting and deploying a customer support software system
  • Experience working with and supporting a partner network that installs off-the-shelf hardware and Linux-based software
  • Exceptional ability to develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of personalities
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Technical aptitude – quick to develop a deep understanding of new software
  • A history of going above and beyond as a team player
  • Keen desire to become knowledgeable about machine learning and its applications in video for the enterprise and cities
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows OS, Python and shell scripting, and IP camera set-up and configuration (including details like resolution, focal length, etc that are important to video analytics applications)
  • Very detail-oriented with great follow-up
  • Curiosity to learn and assimilate technical information quickly, enthusiasm to share and teach others
  • Work closely with product management and engineering to efficiently translate customer feedback into the solution
  • Experience with forms of Support Software/ CRM systems

Basic Qualifications

  • Graduate degree (MS or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences, or Mathematics with at least 5 years of related work experience
  • Deep knowledge of ML algorithms and their feasibility for implementation
  • Hands-on experience in developing Deep Learning algorithms, and experience in using Deep Learning libraries, e.g., TensorFlow, MxNet, PyTorch, Theano, Caffe, etc.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as C/C++, Python

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD with specialization in computer vision or machine learning
  • Strong publication record
  • Demonstrated experience in software development via an internship, work experience, coding competitions or submissions to open source projects
  • Experience working effectively with science, data processing, and software engineering teams
  • Proven track record of innovation in creating novel algorithms and advancing the state of the art
  • Entrepreneurial spirit combined with strong architectural and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
